Welcome to my digital portfolio!  As a lifelong learner, I can attest that learning neither begins nor ends in the classroom.  My goal as an instructional designer is to guide adult learners to make meaningful connections between what is being taught and what they have already learned through their own unique and rich tapestry of lifetime experiences.  This portfolio is designed to showcase how I use my experience, education, and skills to achieve this goal.

Thank you so much for visiting my site.  For more information, please click the Connect button at the top of this page to contact me.

All knowledge is connected to all other knowledge. The fun is in making the connections.

Design for All

Organizations often gear career development opportunities toward management and leadership roles.  However, motivated individuals may seek an employer-provided chance to upskill their knowledge elsewhere if not provided by their current organization, thereby decreasing the organization’s competitive advantage.

I highly advocate for comprehensive professional development opportunities “for the rest of us” as a key success factor in recruiting and retaining talent.

Instructional designers can act as change agents in society.  An openness to explore the learning problem can help identify hidden barriers to inclusion, thus allowing the instructional designer to integrate design equity into the solution.

It is my goal to provide equitable access to knowledge to the diverse learner body by incorporating inclusion into my learning designs.
